Summertime Sangria.

My mother is a lovely and talented person. She always has a million different projects in the works when I go to visit her. I'll walk into our dining room and the table serves as a telltale of what she has been up to. An entire wedding's flowers? yes. 15 different Christmas wreaths for family and friends? yes, that was once the case as well. I try to take note because her creativity knows no bounds - it's truly inspiring. So when she made this sangria for my Dad's birthday bash, I couldn't resist sharing her handcrafted recipe with you. The taste is elegant and sweet, but do not underestimate its' power. My father's fuzzy birthday memory can attest.

Directions:

Cut up fresh fruit and freeze overnight. Raspberries, strawberries, peaches, oranges, and lemons are best with the flavor. Place them in just before serving and they will keep your drink cool without watering it down (like ice would).

Mix 1/4 cup of Peach Schnapps, 1/4 cup of Grand Marnier, 1 bottle of sweet red wine, 1 bottle of white cran peach juice, 1 can of fuzzy navel, and top it off with a bottle of sparkling grape juice before serving.
