I WANT.

If you know me, you know I can never find my keys, cell phone, or debit card. It's like the second I get home, I drop all my belongings and then have end of work day amnesia. In the past few months, I've kicked the habit of losing my debit card. No longer is it sitting in the cup holder post trip to the gas station or in a jacket pocket, but that still leaves my keys and phone. I've done relatively good about keeping my keys in the same place, but for the first time last week I lost them for over an hour. YIKES. I'm ashamed. So when I saw this, I pretty much thought it was genius.

This my friends is what I need.

Lets say you start to walk to your car and you have forgotten your phone in the house. Once you are thirty feet away from your phone, the Zomm (which is attached to your keys) starts to vibrate and flash. If you do not silence it, it will then start to ring.

Let's say, you've lost your keys. Grab your smart phone and on the app, you can send a signal to the keys which will then start vibrating and ultimately ringing until you silence it.

And finally, for all you out there who have seen too many episodes of Law & Order SVU and think you may constantly be in danger of getting murdered (ME), it has a feature on your keys where if you are in trouble, you hold the button and it dials 911 (or whatever number you choose to program). The keychain has bluetooth so you can talk directly into the device without ever fumbling for your phone.

I mean, I really think this is cool. And you can control all the settings from an app on your phone.

To see it demonstrated, jump to 33:40 on this video. He obviously didn't do well on the show, but there is no denying the product is cool. I don't have one myself, so I can't 100% vouch for it, but I think it such a cool idea. However, after a little research I found the reviews on Amazon to be very mixed so it's up in the air on how good it actually is.

What do you think?

  1. ummmm hello GENIUS! This is great! I moved to Dallas in the fall and this would make me feel so much safer (and would result in less instances of me forgetting my phone in the apartment...)
