Red Velvet Cookies.

In case you thought I lost my edge yesterday with that super healthy recipe, I thought I would blow your mind with a Valentine's sugar coma. These are red velvet (MilkyWay stuffed) cookies. I almost feel like it's a baking cheat because who wouldn't love anything stuffed with MilkyWays and Ghirardelli chocolate? Oh did I forget to mention the Ghirardelli? Shame on me. They were quite a treat with more of a crispy crumbly texture than gooey. Perfect for that special someone you want to spoil and pump full of chocolate-y deliciousness. And if you happen to be one of the few people who forgot to plan ahead for this special day, these cookies are relatively simple—from grocery store to plate in less than an hour.

Ingredients
1 Box Red Velvet Cake Mix (18 oz)
3/4 cup unsalted melted butter (one and a half sticks)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 full size Milky Way Bars
1/2 cup mini Ghirardelli chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place cake mix, butter, egg and oil into a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Cut up Milky Way bars into chunks and stir into dough along with the chocolate chips. Scoop dough onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper, placing about 1 inch apart. Press each cookie down. Bake for about 10-13 minutes, until baked through. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 - 10 minutes before transferring to plate.
